Our New Home: We’ve Made the Move to Rackspace!

No hosting provider should have anything less than 100% uptime these days. We recently experienced two outages on our MediaTemple Dedicated Virtual server where the entire server crashed, and we were not notified of the incident. When we discovered the outages, we restarted the server and basically got a "tough luck, you're on your own" attitude from MediaTemple support regarding solutions on preventing this from happening again.
We have been working with Rackspace for about 3 years now on some client servers and services. We have worked with everything from Dedicated Servers and Firewalls, Cloud Servers, Cloud Files, to Rackspace Email. From our experience during that time, we can safely say that Rackspace support is truely unparalleled in the industry of hosting. So naturally, we decided to go ahead and start using Rackspace as our own hosting provider.

Rackspace likes to brag about their support quality and we can tell you, it's for good reason! In our 16+ years dealing with hosting companies and their support teams, you could say we've learned a couple things along the way.
- Most support reps don't have a strong desire to be very helpful.
- Most of them are clueless with marginal experience in trouble shooting server and network issues.
